Subject: Amphibian Workshop at Fearn Sunday April 11th
Following on from previous years successful workshops I have arranged another based at :
Fearn village Hall, for
April 11th, from
10am till 4pm.
Come along and learn how to survey for amphibian and reptiles for the National Amphibian and Reptile Recording Scheme (NARRS) and contribute to the knowledge of amphibians and reptiles in the Highlands. Indoor lessons at Hill of Fearn Village Hall followed by a visit to a local woodland to investigate its ponds looking for frogs, toads and newts and other habitats for common lizard and maybe a slow worm or even an adder.
Bring your own lunch and material for making drinks as there will be facilities for making tea and other hot drinks.
Wear suitable clothing and footwear for the weather and boggy ground in the wood.
Free but donations welcome for future workshops
Booking required as numbers limited so please contact Martin Hind the Highland Council Countryside Ranger at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone on 01349 868563.
I will be away until just after Easter if you want to discuss this event with me nearer the time.
